Deadly crash kills young woman in Texas

When collisions occur on the busy roads of Texas, the consequences are often devastating. In some cases, a large number of vehicles can become embroiled in such accidents, often resulting in widespread damage, serious injuries and even fatalities. Worse still, many of the victims in these incidents are people who played no part in causing the crash to occur. Yet, despite being innocent bystanders, their lives can be turned upside down.

In Austin, a multivehicle accident resulted in the death of a 23-year-old woman, as well as injuries to another four people. The crash allegedly occurred when an SUV said to have been heading the wrong way along the road crashed head-on into a car. The impact caused the SUV to flip over, coming to rest still on the road, at which point another vehicle hit it.

The driver of the SUV was reported to have been found asleep following the crash, with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.2 percent. The driver now faces charges relating to aggravated assault and manslaughter. His passengers were taken to a hospital with serious injuries, including pelvic fractures, possible injuries to the head and spine, as well as a broken leg and ankle. It is always difficult to come to terms with a fatal accident, especially when you know it could have been avoided. You may be unsure where to turn at this distressing time or how to go about seeking justice for your loved one?s death. It is a lot to take in while you are grieving, but there is support available. An attorney can advise you about the best course of action to take. He or she may also be able to assist you with your claim and help you to secure the justice and compensation you deserve.
