Texas man suspected of driving drunk

Not everyone on the roads of Texas drives responsibly. In fact, some even choose to drive while severely over the legal limit of 0.08 percent blood alcohol concentration. Although many assume that they are still safe to drive, their reactions are simply not up to par, and if anything goes wrong, it can lead to a devastating accident. As such, officers are always on the lookout for suspected drunk drivers in order to protect road users as much as possible.

In Texas, a 47-year-old man is said to have been hospitalized following an accident that is suspected to have been the result of driver intoxication. According to reports, his vehicle was seen to swerve across the highway, even driving the wrong way along the southbound lane temporarily. Following this, the vehicle allegedly passed through the median a second time before crashing through a field, a number of trees and a fence. The car ultimately collided with a house.

The driver was removed to be treated for minor injuries. Meanwhile, a sample of his blood was taken and is under analysis to determine whether the man was over the state's legal limit. If his BAC is found to have been 0.08 percent or above, he could face criminal charges.

It is fortunate that no one was seriously injured in this incident, as it could have been much worse. If you have been harmed as a result of another driver's negligence or irresponsibility, you may benefit from an attorney's guidance. He or she can advise you on the options available to you and may be able to assist you if you decide to claim compensation for your injuries.
