Texas multiple-car accident leaves one woman dead

Five vehicles were recently involved in what is being called a wrong-way traffic crash in Texas. One woman died from injuries suffered in the accident. Five other people are reported to have been hurt due to this car accident. One of the individuals injured in the collision includes the driver of the van alleged to have caused the accident.

Witnesses who saw the accident occur claim that the van was speeding and crossed onto the opposing side of the road and into oncoming traffic. An SUV was hit head-on by the van, and a passenger in the SUV died. The SUV driver was injured and taken to a hospital. The van also clipped a vehicle; one person in that vehicle was injured.

Two additional vehicles ended up being involved in the accident; one hit the SUV and the other hit the van. The drivers of these two vehicles were also injured.

Though the reason for the van going into oncoming traffic is not known, toxicology tests have been performed. One wonders if the results of these tests, when they come through, will shed any light on what happened in this accident.

Automobile accident victims can feel overwhelmed with all of the things they suffer through because of the accident. Things like emotional trauma, serious injuries, loss of property, damage to property, lost wages and medical expenses can leave a person feeling like they are being victimized repeatedly. Texas personal injury lawyers may be able to help victims understand their rights and legal options. This includes understanding if financial compensation may be sought to help cover their losses.
