Texas husband/wife traveling for Thanksgiving in fatal accident

The day before Thanksgiving is one of the busiest travel days of the year in Texas and across the country. It also means that drivers should exercise extra caution, since there are typically more cars on the road. Sadly, a fatal accident occurred on Interstate 37 in Live Oak County between a Ford Mustang and a tractor-trailer. The young couple in the Mustang was heading north to visit relatives in Dallas for the holiday.

Are you prepared for Thanksgiving travel in Texas?

Another holiday is just around the corner, and some people may have even already begun traveling to visit family and friends for Thanksgiving. In order to get there, a lot of people will pack up the car and hit the road. Whether they are driving to the other side of Houston or all the way up into the panhandle, data shows that approximately 90 percent of individuals across the nation will travel by car.

NTSB criticizes FMSCSA oversight of trucking industry

The old saying "Locking the barn doors after the horse has is gone," comes to mind after the release of a statement from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) which was characterized as "sharply critical" of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and its supervision of the nation's trucking and bus industry.

Driving and selfishness of selfies

Even though the nightly news often tells of daily car accidents, because it is something most people in Houston do every day, and that Americans do to the tune of 3 trillion miles per year, we all grow too familiar with driving. Unfortunately, that familiarity causes many people to underestimate the risks.
